Ducati Panigale (2022)

by on June 27, 2022

Bike

Società Scientifica Radio Brevetti Ducati was established in Bologna in 1926 by Antonio Cavalieri Ducati and his three sons, Adriano, Marcello, and Bruno, to manufacture vacuum tubes, condensers, and other radio components. They had achieved enough success by 1935 to make it possible to build a new facility in the city's Borgo Panigale neighbourhood. The Ducati factory was repeatedly bombed by the Allies, yet production continued throughout World War II. On October 12, 1944, as part of US Army Air Forces Operation Pancake, which encompassed 700 aircraft flying from airfields in the Province of Foggia, it was finally destroyed by about 40 Consolidated B-24 Liberators.

Since its introduction in 2018, Ducati's Panigale V4 platform has advanced the superbike market with cutting-edge technology. The Bologna, Italy, manufacturer hasn't become complacent over that period though, making minor updates to the premier sportbike over time. The most comprehensive update to the 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S yet includes changes to the engine, chassis, electronics, aero, and ergos.

The MotoGP-derived Desmosedici Stradale engine in the Panigale will still have a 1,103cc displacement in 2022, but thanks to a new torque management system and specialised mapping, it will produce 210 horsepower at 12,500 rpm and 90.6 lb-ft of torque at 11,000 rpm. The longer 1st, 2nd, and 6th gears of Ducati's new SBK gearbox aid in transferring the power to the back wheel. As a result, the Panigale V4 is claimed to provide faster maximum speed, harder corner-exit acceleration, and slow-speed turning.

The Panigale's power parameters are now available to the user with the help of new Power Modes thanks to the V4's improved electronics. Riders may access the motorcycle's full potential in Full Power Mode because no electronic filters are present to distort the torque curves (except in 1st gear).

A more advanced throttle-by-wire map management technology that maximises thrust at open throttle is added to High and Medium Modes. With the Desmosedici Stradale's power output restricted to 150 horsepower in Low Mode, road riding comfort and enjoyment are greatly enhanced.

The Panigale's four Riding Modes (Race A, Race B, Sport, and Street) alter the superbike's personality in addition to the Power Modes. All of those settings are communicated by the updated dashboard's additional exterior lights and features.

The creation of a new Track Evo info mode was suggested by Ducati MotoGP riders. The new arrangement offers the best screen legibility for racers and track riders by moving the tachometer bar to the top of the display, the gear indication in the middle, and the rider aids down the right side.

While the shocks and tires on the two chassis may be different, both have top-notch Brembo braking systems. A taller swingarm pivot helps each superbike, which improves the Panigale's anti-squat qualities when accelerating.

Both variations of the superbike have the brand's iconic red fairings and new black Ducati branding as part of Ducati's subdued aesthetic changes. However, a two-tone seat and red wheel tape are also added to the V4 S.

The 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 and 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 S go on sale in February for a suggested retail price of $23,295 and $29,995, respectively.

New BMW 7-Series (2023)

by on June 27, 2022
BMW

For the 2023 model year, a brand-new generation of the 7-series, BMW's longtime flagship sedan and the company's most opulent and sophisticated vehicle, will be available. The basic design remains mostly unchanged from the present model: powertrain options include a twin-turbo V-8 and an inline-six turbocharged engine, with a plug-in hybrid joining the lineup later. Tested a heavily disguised prototype and discovered that the 7-series practically floats down the road.

Thanks to certain modifications to the chassis and suspension, including a new rear-wheel steering system, it handles a touch more nimbly than the 2022 vehicle. Although it has a semi-autonomous driving mode for long highway drives thanks to its driver aid technology, the car's standout feature is an optional 31.3-inch rear entertainment display called Theater Screen that descends from the ceiling.

For the 2023 model year, the 7-series has undergone a thorough redesign and now features an even plusher interior, more cutting-edge technology, and more aggressive external flair. Delivery will commence in November 2022 when production starts this summer.

The 740i only comes with rear-wheel drive and is powered by BMW's incredibly smooth inline-six. Anticipate that the majority of customers will find this model to be more than adequate, but for those looking for all-wheel drive or more power, there is the 760i xDrive, which has a twin-turbo V-8.

Both the Executive Lounge package (which includes power-adjustable reclining rear seats with massage features, among other luxuries) and the stylish 31.3-inch Theater Screen rear-seat entertainment system, which can stream content via the car's on-board Wi-Fi hotspot, are recommended if you intend to be chauffeured in your new 7-series. The same body shell will support an all-electric alternative called the i7; we examine that model individually.

Rear-wheel drive is the only available configuration for this model, which comes with a 375-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that is aided by a 48-volt hybrid system as standard (cars with this engine are referred to as 740i). According to BMW, the 740i will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.0 seconds. The 760i xDrive's twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 engine produces 536 horsepower and utilises a 48-volt hybrid system to accelerate to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds, according to BMW.

All-wheel drive is standard on this vehicle. During a brief test-drive event in Germany, the opportunity to try the eight-cylinder prototype model, noting both its smooth operation and strong acceleration. Air suspension is a standard feature on the new vehicle, and BMW has included rear-wheel steering assist.

Although fuel efficiency estimates for the 2023 7-series lineup have not yet been released, the electrical help and minor modifications to the gas-fired engines should result in slight improvements over the outgoing model. Take the 7-series on our 75 mph highway fuel efficiency test route when we get an opportunity to evaluate it, and we'll report the results here. Visit the EPA website to learn more about the 7-series' fuel efficiency.

The 7-series, the top model in the BMW lineup, offers its passengers a variety of comforts. The interior of the 7-series has a sophisticated vibe thanks to rich-smelling leathers, stainless steel accents, and beautiful glass and wood trim elements; purchasers may even select a new cashmere upholstery option, should it fit their unique style.

The luxurious interior now boasts the richness, sophistication, and technology to more effectively compete with the Mercedes-Benz S-class. The 7-series offers plenty of room for passengers both up front and in the back, but when the Executive Lounge package is added, the 7-series really shines. This package includes power-adjustable reclining rear seats with massage, a wireless smartphone charging pad for the back seat area, and adjustable neck cushions on the headrests.

The iX SUV's huge digital gauge display is positioned beneath the same glass panel as the infotainment touchscreen, and the 7-series utilises a similar dashboard design. Crisp resolution and quick reaction are features of the reconfigurable displays.

An optional rear-seat entertainment system called Theater Screen by BMW uses a massive 31.3-inch monitor that lowers from the car's ceiling. Rear-seat passengers may watch Netflix or browse the web via an onboard 5G cellular data connection, interfacing with the system via touchscreen displays built into the door panels.

Nissan Skyline GT-R (2000-02)

by on June 26, 2022
Skyline

A sports car based on the Nissan Skyline line is called the Nissan Skyline GT-R (Japanese: GT-R, Nissan Sukairain GT-R). The first "Skyline GT-R" vehicles, with the model code KPGC10, were made between 1969 and 1972. They were successful in Japanese touring car racing competitions. A small run of second-generation vehicles with the model number KPGC110 was produced after this one in 1973.

The 1989 BNR32 ("R32") Skyline GT-R marked the return of the GT-R moniker after a 16-year absence. The R32 GT-R was utilised to win the Japanese Touring Car Championship four years in a row in Group A standard versions. Prior to a regulation change that banned the R32 GT-R in 1993, the R32 GT-R enjoyed success in the Australian Touring Car Championship, where Jim Richards and Mark Skaife both used it to win the championship in 1991 and 1992, respectively. The Australian auto magazine Wheels dubbed the R32 GT-R "Godzilla" in its July 1989 issue due to the vehicle's technological advancements and performance.  The name was then carried by the wheels through all Skyline GT-R models.

Nissan's performance line-up was led by the Skyline GT-R, which included numerous cutting-edge innovations like the Super-HICAS four-wheel steering and the ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system. The automobile is still in demand today for import drag racing, circuit racing, time trials, and competitions sponsored by tuning publications. The Skyline GT-production R's ceased in August 2002. The GT-R (R35), a brand-new car built on an improved version of the Skyline V36 platform, took the place of the previous model. Despite their obvious differences, the two cars were made at the same factory and have identical design elements.

In January 1999, the GF-BNR34 (R34) Skyline GT-R, GT-R V-Spec, and GT-R V-Spec N1 vehicles were unveiled. In comparison to the R33 GT-R, the R34 GT-R has a lower overall length and a smaller front overhang. In contrast to earlier versions, which had black valve covers, this year's models have glossy red valve covers (colour code Cherry Red Effect Z24 or X1020.

The 5.8" LCD multifunction display in the dash's centre, a brand-new addition to the R34 GT-R, displays seven distinct live readings of the vehicle's and engine's statistics, including the turbocharger pressure (1.2 bar maximum), water and oil temperatures, among others. Temperatures for the intake and exhaust gases were added to the display in the GT-R V-Spec variant. A lap timer, G-Force metre, and an increase in boost pressure measurement to 2 bar were all features of the Nismo Multi-function Displays (MFD), which could be purchased for an additional fee. In response to consumer complaints that the R33 GT-R was overly bulky, the R34 GT-R was made shorter.

Nissan replaced the V-Spec with the V-Spec II in October 2000. The V-Spec II's rear brake rotors were bigger, and the suspension was stronger than it was on the original V-Spec. Additionally, it has a carbon fibre NACA duct-equipped bonnet that weighs less than the aluminium used to make the other GT-R bonnets. The V-Spec II also had aluminium pedals and a centre console made of iridium. The yellow turn lenses were swapped out for white ones, and the seats were covered in black fabric as opposed to the grey cloth used on earlier R34 GT-R cars. These improvements also applied to the GT-base R's trim level, with the exception of the carbon fibre bonnet.

Nissan introduced the Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Skyline GT-R M-Spec, the R34 GT-final R's manufacturing model, in February 2002. The renowned German racetrack Nürburgring, where the Skyline was created, . The R34 GT-R Nür was built in a total of 1,003 units. 285were M-Spec Nürs, while 718 were V-Spec II Nürs. Based on the N1 racing engine, the RB26DETT in the Nür model was upgraded. The ceramic blades on the conventional turbochargers were changed for steel ones, and the boost level was slightly increased. The turbo's durability was enhanced while being able to sustain a larger boost increase, although this has increased lag.

The R34 Skyline GT-R was introduced in 1997 and was in production until 2002. The model stood out mainly to a cutting-edge display unit, and its RB26DETT twin-turbo I6 engine delivered outstanding horsepower. The R34 was able to dominate its predecessors because to a shorter wheelbase and a more streamlined design.

Land Cruiser

August 2, Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) announced the launch of its new Land Cruiser. The Land Cruiser, a four-wheel-drive vehicle with a strong engine, was first introduced in August 1951 under the name "Toyota BJ." Since then, it has worked to provide safety and security to a wide range of consumers and other people that interact with the car.

The Land Cruiser has supported lives, livelihoods, and more meaningful lifestyles all across the world and has kept its promise to drive passengers wherever and ensure that they return home safely and unharmed.

Based on the actual usage scenarios of its global consumers, the Land Cruiser's core attributes of "reliability, durability, and off-road performance" have now undergone additional evolution. Customers in 170 countries and regions across the world are adoring a cumulative total of around 10.6 million units—and more than 300,000 units*1 a year.

The outgoing 200 Series, which debuted in 2007, has been completely redesigned into the new Land Cruiser 300 Series. The following lists its development goals.

Toyota kept the same frame structure and paired it with the new GA-F platform, which is based on the TNGA tenets, with these goals in mind. The identity of the vehicle has also been altered through the fusion of modern technology with legacy technology gathered over many years.

The conventional ladder structure is redesigned for the new Land Cruiser. The high-rigidity, lightweight frame, which is 20% more rigid than the 200 Series thanks to the latest welding techniques, boasts enhanced collision safety performance, quietness, and ride comfort.

The power train has been shifted 70 mm in back and 28 mm downward, and the body is made up of more high-tensile steel plates, an aluminium bonnet, roof, and door panels.

Due to these advancements, the body weight has been reduced by about 200 kg, resulting in a lower centre of gravity and better front-to-rear weight distribution. The new Land Cruiser offers a ride that is more in line with the driver's aims along with an improved driving position. The body's less weight helps the Land Cruiser's performance.

The new Land Cruiser has a freshly created high-mount double-wishbone front and trailing-link rigid-axle rear suspension system in keeping with its redesigned platform. For enhanced ride comfort and steering stability, the location of the rear shock absorbers has been modified.

By moving the suspension arms, it has been possible to improve both wheel articulation—the vehicle's capacity to stay on the ground—and body posture stability even when braking. Superior off-road performance has resulted from these.

In order to increase steering stability and ride comfort, the vehicle features a new Linear Solenoid Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) system, which independently regulates the damping force of each wheel's shock absorbers in reaction to road conditions and driver input. (Standard equipment for the ZX and GR Sport grades)

The new Land Cruiser combines an electric steering actuator with a hydraulic power steering system that can operate in challenging conditions. This provides excellent agility at low speeds, less kickback while driving off-road, and a crisper steering feel. It also makes it possible to incorporate steering support features like Lane Tracing Assist. (Standard equipment for the ZX, GR Sport, and VX grades)

The new Land Cruiser has an electronic control brake system that monitors input from the brake pedal to produce the ideal amount of braking force through its hydraulic brakes and achieve more linear stopping. (Standard equipment for the ZX, GR Sport, and VX grades)

A newly generated 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine with a maximum output of 305 kW (415 PS) and a maximum torque of 650 Nm is available for the new Land Cruiser. It combines the Land Cruiser's legendary dependability with the TNGA philosophy. With a multi-hole direct injector, a longer stroke, and better valve angle location for high-speed combustion, the direct-injection 4-stroke gasoline engine superior version with turbo (D-4ST) produces tremendous torque at low speeds and has excellent supercharger responsiveness.

The new 300 Series' design is geared toward providing off-road performance. The cabin is positioned rearward on the body, much like earlier generations of station wagon-style Land Cruisers; the radiator grille and headlights are high up; and the lower portions of the front and rear bumpers are shaped to avoid obstacles.

Additionally, the engine hood's inclusion of a significant dip enhances front sight and collision safety performance. Precious White Pearl, a fresh outside shade, is moreover accessible. (Available on the ZX and GR Sport grades as a manufacturer's option)

Both the front and second row of seats feature comfortable heated seats and seat ventilation. (On the ZX and GR Sport grades; on the VX grade, only the front seats)

The driver's seat, the front passenger's seat, and the back seats can all access the roomy and useful Center Console Box thanks to its two-sided opening structure. The interior also has a cool box for cooling PET drink bottles as well as other foods and beverages. With the exception of the GX grade, available as a manufacturer's option.

All grades come standard with nanoeTM *4 X, which is released via the driver's side air outlet on the instrument panel and generates a comfortable internal air environment.

On all grades with the exception of the GX grade, a high-resolution 12.3-inch widescreen touch display is an available manufacturer's option. Data on off-road performance, audio, air conditioning, and navigation can all be easily understood on the display.

The car can simply remember up to three individual driver choices for the driving position, the interior, and the display, allowing numerous drivers to choose their preferred settings.

With the use of a Smart Key and the vehicle's Hands-Free Back Door, drivers may easily open and lock the back door by merely placing their feet beneath the rear bumper. (Standard ZX grade equipment; manufacturer's choice available for VX grade)

The newest Toyota Safety Sense active safety package with more sophisticated features has been installed in the new Land Cruiser. The pre-collision system, which assists in preventing collisions or minimising damage by identifying pedestrians (during the day and at night) and cyclists, now has two additional features (daytime). The first is a feature that alerts the driver to approaching traffic at crossings and approaching pedestrians crossing the street while the car is turning. The second is an emergency steering assist feature that helps with lane maintaining and steering when the driver makes a steering motion to avoid a collision.

Customers all across the world have loved the Land Cruiser for 70 years since its introduction, and they have also helped the model survive under challenging conditions. On August 1, 2021, precisely 70 years after its debut, Toyota hosted an online event called "70th LAND CRUISER DAY" as a way of expressing its gratitude.

The Doctor of Moto GP.

by on June 25, 2022
Valentino Rossi

Italian former professional motorcycle road racer and nine-time Grand Prix motorcycle racing World Champion Valentino Rossi was born on February 16, 1979. With both Honda and Yamaha, he won world championships in the top class.

With nine Grand Prix World Championships under his belt, seven of which were in the elite 500cc/MotoGP class, he is regarded as one of the greatest motorcycle racers of all time and goes by the moniker "The Doctor." In addition, he rode with the number 46 for the duration of his career and is the first road racer to have participated in 400 or more Grands Prix.

Rossi won the final 500cc World Championship (being the last rider to win the top-class title to date) after moving up to the premier class in 2000. In addition, he won the MotoGP World Championships in 2002 and 2003 while competing for the factory Honda Team. After leaving Honda to join Yamaha, he continued to win consecutive championships in 2004 and 2005. His crash in Valencia's championship round cost him the title for that year. He ultimately came in third place in 2007, then won it back in 2008 and kept it in 2009.

Rossi rejoined Yamaha in 2013 and placed fourth overall. He then won three consecutive runner-up finishes in 2014, 2015, and 2016. In 2015, when he finished fifth overall and five points behind eventual champion Jorge Lorenzo, he had the best chance to win a tenth championship. In 2017, his final season in which he scored more than 200 points in the standings, he won his last race in the Dutch TT at the age of 38.

The super Bike that Rossi rode in 2004 was Yamaha YZR-M1. The press criticised Valentino Rossi for "biting off more than he could chew" when he agreed to a two-year deal with Yamaha that was reputedly worth more than US$6 million per season. Many of his admirers believed that even he would not be able to raise the struggling YZR-M1 to the level of the previously all-conquering Honda RC211V, in addition to his detractors and media pundits.

The idea that a Honda RC211V in the hands of riders of the calibre of Max Biaggi and Sete Gibernau would have little trouble retaining the World Title for Honda was fueled by a well-publicized rise in the pace of development of the Honda machine throughout the winter season.

The majority of Rossi's long-standing crew, including Jeremy Burgess, were persuaded by Rossi to join him at Yamaha, thus Honda had to deal with more defections than just Rossi. This was a smart move, and Rossi acknowledged it in his memoirs as having been crucial to giving him the solid foundation he needed to use the YZR-M1 to target the Championship.

Following the Brno race on August 15, 2010, Rossi announced he will join Nicky Hayden and the Ducati team, signing a two-year contract that would begin in 2011.  On November 9, 2010, he rode the Desmosedici for the first time in Valencia, marking his first outing on an Italian motorbike since 1999. In order to be prepared for preseason testing in Malaysia, Rossi underwent surgery on the shoulder he hurt during the 2010 season.

After making some headway in the first test, the Ducati underperformed in the second Malaysian test, leaving Rossi dissatisfied after finishing more than 1.8 seconds behind Casey Stoner's pace-setting Honda.

Rossi's departure from the factory Ducati squad at the conclusion of the 2012 season was officially announced on August 10th. Later that day, it was also revealed that Rossi would reunite with Jorge Lorenzo at the Yamaha factory team for the remainder of the 2014 season.  At a post-season test in Valencia on November 13–14, 2012, Rossi got back in touch with the Yamaha.

But until he tested the 2013 machine later, on the 5-7 February 2013, at Sepang, rain prevented him from recording an exact lap time. There, he recorded the third-fastest time of 2:00.542 seconds out of 28 riders. He was only 0.113 seconds behind than teammate Jorge Lorenzo and 0.442 seconds slower than pacesetter Dani Pedrosa.

He made the announcement that he would leave MotoGP after the 2021 season on August 5, 2021, during the pre-event press conference of the 2021 Styrian motorcycle Grand Prix weekend. The career era of Valentino Rossi in MotoGP would come to an end then.

His final race was the 2021 Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix, where he received congratulations for a good career from a number of celebrities and notable racers, including Casey Stoner, Lewis Hamilton, and Max Verstappen. At the Italian motorcycle Grand Prix in 2022, Rossi's number 46 was retired during a ceremony.

Arch

ARCH Motorcycle was established in 2011 with the goal of changing people's perceptions of what an American motorcycle may be. Anything that jeopardises the ride, aesthetics, stance, or function is viewed as an opportunity to improve the design. ARCH owners are looking for more than a machine. They are riders that are looking for a truly immersive riding experience. Every ARCH motorbike is the result of a fascination with cutting-edge design, superior engineering, and a commitment to the rider.

Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger created Arch Motorcycle Company, LLC in 2011 as a high-end custom American motorcycle manufacturer.

Keanu Reeves, who is well-known for his love of motorbikes, met custom bike manufacturer Gard Hollinger in 2007.  develop the Arch Motorcycle Company as a result of their shared understanding. Reeves hired Hollinger to personalise a Harley-Davidson motorbike, and after five years of design and testing, only the Harley-Davidson engine remained.

Reeves was so taken with the finished product's handling and character that he recommended he and Hollinger create their own motorcycle firm. Hollinger first rejected since he ran his own motorcycle customisation business at the time and didn't want to accept the risk of building a whole motorcycle and its component parts from the ground up.

Arch has created three models as of November 2017: KRGT-1, 1s, and Method 143, which are afterwards tailored to customers' exact preferences. Each model is defined as a "American performance cruiser" - a motorcycle designed in the traditional American motorcycle style with the comfort and range of a cruiser but with the performance of a sports bike, according to Reeves and Hollinger.

The 1s and Method 143 have a more aggressive, sportier riding stance and design. The Method 143 is a "concept," which means it has a distinctive and striking appearance, similar to concept automobiles.

Every ARCH Motorcycle is a one-of-a-kind production model.

The ARCH KRGT-1, ARCH 1s, and ARCH Method 143 all use a collaborative process to customise the livery and ergonomics for each owner. Our customers are involved in the design process from the start, working closely with our in-house designers to co-create their ARCH motorcycle.

Audi E-tron GT

by on June 21, 2022
etron

The Audi e-tron GT quattro2's design is a precise representation of electric mobility and unmistakable Audi DNA. The ranges of electrical consumption and CO2 emissions are determined by the vehicle's equipment. The Audi e-tron GT quattro2's cabin provides ample of everyday usage while maintaining the highest level of quality. The continuous gloss black of the panoramic glass sunroof gives the cabin a great sense of spaciousness.

A gran turismo's proportions - flat, wide, and long wheelbase – make it evident that here is where sportiness meets everyday practicality. The body's sculptural design exemplifies power and performance.

Shapes that are aerodynamically optimised become functional details. From the front air inlets to the vented wheel arches and the eye-catching rear diffuser.

The panoramic glass sunroof invites the horizon aboard and offers a light-filled cabin.

The Audi e-tron GT quattro2 is a modern-day progress showcase. It exudes exclusivity, comfort, and sportiness. The sport seats plus, front with integrated head restraints, also have contoured seat side bolsters for good lateral support when cornering and driving sportily.

The new RS etron GT is powered by two electric motors, one for the front wheels and the other for the back. The Audi e-tron GT is based on the same platform as the Porsche Taycan and was developed in collaboration with Porsche. As a result, it looks to be equally as broad and functional, with a sloping roof line. Despite being a four-door electric vehicle, the rear doors meld into the wide haunches for a dynamic look.

It produces 598 hp as regular, but a two-second over-boost mechanism boosts this to 646 hp when the car is launched. As a result, the car can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in under 3.0 seconds. A more significant acceleration time is between 30 and 70 mph, which is what you generally utilise while overtaking or accelerating down a slip road. The RS e-tron GT clocked a time of 2.7 seconds to finish the course.

The GT's interior is significantly more crowded than the Taycan's, with far more buttons and dials, as well as a strange small circular pad of audio controls to the right of the cup holders. The overall cabin quality, however, is precisely what you'd expect from an Audi, with flawless fit and finish.

The E-Tron GT's 800-volt vehicle architecture allows it to accept charging speeds of up to 270 kilowatts, which allows you to charge the battery from zero to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.

The Audi RS e-tron GT's 93 kWh battery has significantly less capacity than the Taycan's 95 kWh battery, but it still boasts a range of 283 miles. For the most part, this will be enough.
