BOSS of Pakistan's Automobile Industry (1988-2019)

Suzuki

A five door hatchback Car with a 796 cc Engine capacity. Whether it is storming outside or you have to go in small narrow streets of Pakistan also not to forget about dangerous roads of north of Pakistan, Nothing comes in the way of this mean and sad looking Car.

Suzuki Mehran was first introduced to the Pakistani market in 1989, with a selling price of PKR.90,000 and was sold for about PKR 860000.in 2019. Boss has ruled in Pakistani market for about 32 years Despite the lack of basic safety features like airbags, ABS, rear window defogger, side air conditioner vents, seat belt reminder, and even rear seat belts.

Seat belts for the front row were initially placed in the mid-2000s. Aside from the suspension system, which was built on a low-cost, the car had stayed virtually unchanged throughout its 32-year production run, with no substantial interior or exterior changes.

In 2013, Pak Suzuki released a Euro-II Mehran, representing the only significant update in Mehran's 30-year history. The carburetor engine was replaced with an Electronic Fuel Injection System in this facelift variant of Suzuki Mehran Pakistan. Other minor changes included a new front radiator grille, crystal lights, and a few body modifications.

Suzuki Mehran experienced strong sales throughout its existence. According to data, Suzuki Mehran sold 35,526 units in 2007-08, compared to only 13,421 in 2008-09. The release of the Euro-II model in 2013 helped to stabilise Suzuki Mehran Pakistan's sales.

The company has sold around 29,000 units per year since then. In April 2019 Suzuki announced that the famous hatchback would be phased out of production in replace of 8th generation Alto in Pakistan. However, it did sell the units that had already been built for the next year until June 2020. People are still looking for used Suzuki Mehran prices in Pakistan, and used Mehran car prices in Pakistan are still inexpensive.

The car was first sold for Rs. 90,000 32 years ago, and the last sale price for the VX model was Rs. 825,000 in February of 2019. That's a huge 817 percent increase in price.

Mehran remained and ruled like a boss and a highly sought-after car for the most of its manufacturing years, despite the moderate but steady increase in price. Now we have to wait and see can Alto be the next Boss of Pakistani Automobile Industry or Not.
